The presentation will focus on building bridges through remote and onsite proposal teams. Through my experience working both in offices and as telecommuter, I will focus on what it takes to become a “visible” productive and connected telecommuter, forging connections with colleagues working in offices, working with both internal and external customers, and finding creative ways to build sustainable interpersonal relationships.

Topics we will discuss include:

  • Company policies on telecommuting vs. working in an office-flexibility, cost-saving measures, and making decisions on work schedules that are beneficial to employees.
  • Telecommuter 101: How to create a comfortable and productive workspace, dealing with IT issues, and finding ways to connect and be “visible” to your team members.
  • How onsite and remote proposal teams can build bridges with internal and external customers through communication, innovation and building sustainable relationships through curiosity, active listening and “being here now”.
  • What can we fix in a creative and approachable way, to break down silos, avoid “groupthink”, get a consensus and create engagement?
